New York, New York.

If you are like me you love to travel.

Who doesn’t?

It’s an experience to try something different from what you’re used to, but still allows you to come back to the comforts of home after. 🙂

As Frank Sinatra says it best, I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps.

This painting I featured today is of Times Square in New York.

I loved the hustle and bustle of the city and all of the interesting shapes and the space around them.

When I paint a scene, I don’t try to paint it exactly how I saw it, I like to find bits and pieces to merge them all together, which creates my unique representation.

Travel

I find inspiration in every place that I visit.

When I travel I like to do what I call “drive by shooting”. Don’t worry, it’s not what you’re thinking!

Often I find inspirational scenes while in the car, and unfortunately for me, nobody else wants to stop! This is where I had to get creative, I quickly grab my camera and “shoot” what I see. The images aren’t always the clearest, like this one below, but they help me remember what I found inspirational.
